A saxony carpet is sometimes also known as a shag pile and has a deep, warm and thick pile that will give an elegant look to any room. This type of carpet has a slightly longer pile than a traditional twist that you can really sink your toes into.
The sumptuous and soft finish of a saxony means they are perfect for bedrooms or lounges that you want that luxury feeling in. Whilst still suitable for stairs you must consider that they will flatten in very heavy wear areas such as stair treads but with regular and efficient vaccumming with a suitable beater bar hoover they will stay looking elegant for years.
