Online sales of home products leap by more than 40% in November 2013, fuelled by multi-channel retailers, according to the Interactive Media in Retail Group/ Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index.  Carpets and other flooring products will come under this banner and we have seen a similar growth over the last 12 months.

Multichannel retailers, defined as companiese with both an online and a “brick and mortar” presence, reported annual growth of 23%, compared to the 16% recorded by the online only brands.

Tina Spooner, IMRG chief information officer says: 'While the overall Index performance was ahead of our expectations during November, it seems the strong online growth recorded by the high street retailers is being driven by the prominent promotion of their multichannel offering. We often see 'online | mobile | in-store' as the potential channels for engagement in retailer adverts.

Here at Floors4Home we are driving forward our investment in 2014 to bring our customers the best online buying experience for carpets and carpet underlay.  Last year we concentrated on developing the site to work on mobile devices and the site is now a responsive site – this means the layout changes to best suit the device it is being viewed with.  Now that we have a fantastic site offering leading brands of carpet at the most competitive prices we are looking this year at improving the exposure of the site in all the major search engines.

We are really looking forward to 2014 and expect to see a growth in the products we offer as well as an increase in the visitors to the site.
