Non Slip Vinyl Flooring

Warning! There is no such thing as a "non slip floor".... flooring can only be anti slip.
Most vinyl flooring comes with an anti slip rating known as an R number. This range is typically between R9 and R13, the higher the number the more slip resistant the material. Many people think this means you will not slip on the floor. This is not the case - it is a rating to show the resistance to slip measured in a particular way. It does not show slip resistance when the surface is contaminated with liquids such as water.
All the vinyls shown on our website are suitable for use in all domestic areas such as kitchens and bathrooms apart from floors that are consistently wet such as a walk in shower or wet room. For these areas a specialist flooring such as Polysafe Hydro should be used.
