Loop Pile Carpet
With a loop pile carpet the yarn (or fibre of the carpet) forms loops on the top surface either in uniform height or with differing heights to create either a smooth level loop or to make a textured loop pile. Loop piles also include rustic tweed styles loop called berbers.
No Underlay Required!
The felt backing on this carpet allows it to be fitted directly to the sub-floor - either wood or concrete! Therefore keeping costs as low as possible for this discount carpet.
For added comfort a carpet underlay can be used in conjunction with a felt back, particularly useful on stairs but please use a short pin gripper rod - some fitters will use standard gripper and then ensure that the pins are "knocked down" to make sure they do not protrude through the carpet.
